Today, we visited Dalby Forest. First, I did orienteering with the other half of the year. We got into groups of four. Then Mark (our teacher from Dalby F orest) gave us a sheet with pictures of animals on. We got given a map with the numbers of the posts that we had to visit on. Mark then gave us a number of a post to go to and we all went off to find our posts. The posts had pictures of animals on to match the ones on the sheet. We wrote down on the sheet which number the animal was, and then went back to Mark to find out the next number. After the orienteering, we went to have our lunch.
After lunch, we changed to stream studies. We first went to see our second teacher to tell us about how we should do all the activities. We measured the flow, we measured the depth and we searched for underwater wildlife. It was great fun, but we got absolutely SOAKED!!!
We then went back to the hotel and had out hot drinks and milkshakes! I can't wait until tomorrow! Byeeee!

Hello everybody,
ReplyDeleteI hear that it didn't rain in Whitby (so I managed to take the rain away!) but that it was hot chocolate not ice-cream weather.Brrr. I'm looking forward to reading your poems and seeing your sketches...and of course, to hearing all about it in today's blog.
At Stafford House all is well - but it seems very quiet without you.
Enjoy the moors tomorrow:
love from us all - to you all
